The people we serve are in need of the following items:

• Full-sized shampoo, conditioners, hair styling products and body wash
• Toilet tissue (smaller 4-6 packs)
• Paper towels (smaller 1-2 packs)
• Laundry detergent
• Dish soap & hand soap
• Multi-packs of shaving razors
• Tampons
• Full-sized deodorant (men and women)
• Gas cards (Caseys, Shell or Kum & Go)
• Gift cards (Wal-mart, Fareway, Hy-Vee, Dollar General, Shopko)
• Some food donations accepted (please call first)
• Some baby items accepted (please call first)
• Digital answering machine

The ACCESS office in Ames serves as the hub for Story County outreach services, emergency shelter and transitional housing for Boone, Story and Marshall Counties. Please call 515-292-0500  or email cassandra@assaultcarecenter.org to approve your donation and schedule a drop-off time. The people we serve are in need of the following items:

The ACCESS office in Marshalltown serves as the hub for Marshall and Tama County outreach services, as well as an emergency shelter unit in Marshalltown. Please call 641-753-4143 or 641-753-4142 to approve your donation and schedule a drop-off time. The people we serve are in need of: 

• Humidifier
• Vacuum
• Gas cards (Caseys, Kwik Star)
• Walmart gift cards
• Bottled water
• Toilet paper (smaller 4-6 packs)
• Paper towels (smaller 1-2 packs)
• Dry Shampoo
• Journals

Cash donations are also always welcome. Checks can be sent via mail to PO Box 1429 Ames IA 50014. You can also donate via credit or debit card by clicking the Donate button on the upper right corner of this website.
