ACCESS has been serving Tama County since August 2013.
Services provided by ACCESS to individuals in Tama County include:
- Criminal and civil legal advocacy: assistance in reporting crimes, support in court hearings, and assisting with civil restraining orders.
- A 24 hour toll-free crisis line, and 24-hour in person response to emergency and safety needs of victims of both domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Information and referrals for additional resources and services.
- Counseling services to address long term impact of abuse and to increase a survivor’s coping.
- Emergency shelter, relocation planning and housing support
- Rapid Rehousing
- Educational presentations and informative displays in the community, including in or to schools, professional and civic organizations.
